SinoTech Group and Publicitas announced today that they have entered into an agreement to merge Publicitas’ Chinese Digital consulting business called Publicitas (Beijing) Media Consulting Company Ltd. into the SinoTech Group.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Publicitas is an International leading ‘all media’ sales representation company with offices in 23 countries and more than 1750 employees worldwide.
This merger of the Publicitas Media Consulting business into the SinoTech Group extends the strategic cooperation of the two companies following the recent announcement where the companies are working together to provide Internet advertising sales to some of the leading sites in China and abroad.  Both companies see significant opportunity in the Chinese Digital Marketing space as online publishers and advertisers move to leverage technology to improve process, reduce cost and provide accurate measurements for all elements within the digital ecosystem.

The merger enables the two companies to combine their existing assets in terms of digital advertising platforms and know-how to better serve their current and future clients by offering them a much wider range of advanced, proven IT solutions to monetize web and print content.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Publicitas Media Consulting team will be integrated into the SinoTech Group team and all existing Publicitas Media Consulting clients will be supported by the SinoTech Group and have access to their Digital Ad serving and analytics technology.  SinoTech Group will also be granted the Chinese rights for Publicitas tools technologies as a CRM platform being used in China today by a number of leading publishers.  In addition to CRM, there is also a Swiss developed content extraction system called ASAAP, used for automatically converting print content to digital format suitable for any online publishing.

Yuan Zou, the Managing Director of Publicitas Media Consulting will be responsible for managing the transition of the business transfer, and ensure that all of previous Publicitas clients, leading newspaper publishers will receive continuous high quality service as before, all the while benefiting from the suite of advanced online technology solutions from SinoTech.
“This merger of Publicitas Media Consulting into SinoTech Group is truly an exciting opportunity for us”, said Dr McDougall, Group CEO & Executive Chairman for SinoTech Group. “Publicitas is one of the World leaders in media sales and is active in China since 1998 where it operates through different companies; it also holds investments in two of China’s leading media and advertising sales groups such as Hua Shang Digital and City Media. Dr McDougall further stated, “The merger of Publicitas Media Consulting provides SinoTech Group with a leading CRM solution custom made for all media companies and an advanced content extraction technology. These platforms have great synergy with the current portfolio of digital marketing solutions provided by SinoTech Group.’

Moritz Wuttke, Chief Executive Officer of Publicitas Asia and China commented “Publicitas wanted to work with a leading Chinese digital marketing technology and service company so that a merged entity could provide new and innovative Online Advertisement solutions to our clients and investment partners. With SinoTech’s appetite to extend their reach with new products, we feel our existent clients will profit from enlarged product portfolio. SinoTech Group fitted our requirements in this area and we are very pleased to be able to merge our business with theirs.”
