The Beijing Times reported on the 20th March that NetEase has released a microblogging service on their site: t.163.com. This platform also offers a wireless application protocol (mobile) version and permits 23 more characters than that of Twitter and Sina's microblogging service, which is limited to 140 characters.

The report went on to say that Tencent is also working on microblogging and plans to link its own service with instant messaging QQ accounts.
Looks like micro-blogging is getting popular and I guess the Chinese micro-blogging platforms will conform to the content provisions required by the various Chinese Government licensing bodies. Viewed 2368 times so far.
