Carat Hong Kong has been awarded Virgin Atlantic’s digital and media business in Hong Kong, dislodging incumbent MEC.

In news reported in Media said, Carat approached Virgin initially with digital marketing solutions and won core media services as well.

The story goes further and said, Tess Caven, marketing director MEC Asia Pacific said: “MEC and Virgin Atlantic amicably agreed to part ways late last year.”

“Virgin is a truly iconic global brand and has set aggressive targets to achieve in Hong Kong, particularly with the recent introduction of a second daily flight to Heathrow. Carat is looking forward to helping Virgin achieve this goal through delivery of innovative and effective ways to connect with its consumers”, said Will Swayne, Managing Director of Carat Hong Kong.

Brad West, general manager, Virgin Atlantic Airways, added: “We felt Carat to be a more strategic partner that we feel confident will deliver all our media requirements to achieve great business results.”
