Publicis Groupe has posted a 12.4 per cent year-on-year organic revenue decline in Asia-Pacific for Q3, making the region the hardest hit of all the holding company's global markets.
The report presented regional revenue of US$170 million in this year’s third quarter, compared with almost $185 million a year ago.
In comparison, revenues in Europe were down 9.5 per cent and North America dropped 5.3 per cent, though both started from much higher bases.
According to the report, the revenue plunge in the region reflects the downturn in the region's mature economies, despite "promising" signs in China.
Consolidated regional revenue for the first nine months of the year stood at $352 million as of 30 September, as opposed to $367 million last year; organic growth was shown to have dropped by 9.6 per cent.
Publicis Groupe in Asia is made up of Publicis Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi, Fallon, Leo Burnett, Digitas, Starcom and ZenithOptimedia.
