There are over 380 million Chinese who use the internet today. Popular activities include gaming, shopping and social networking. Revenues from these as well as advertising is predicted to propel the industry at rocket speed forward. iResearch predicts that online earnings in China from advertising, games, shopping and other activities will surge 51% to 112.3bn yuan this year.

Here are the estimated online revenues from China according to a study conducted by iResearch

Below is the estimates from iResearch on the online advertising market. However, don't forget my post on trusting the numbers :)

2008 : 57.15 billion Yuan
2009 : 74.30 billion Yuan (@ 30% growth)
2010 : 112.3 billion Yuan (@ 51% growth)

Should give those of you working in the online advertising space a small hope.... but as they say, "wait until you see the money"
