Is always surprising that Chinese search marketing remains a mystery for most international companies.  As a digital marketer we tend to place search up there as one of our key tools in campaign executions...so for us wanted to promote in China we need to consider the search engine options..

For those that don't know, there tends to be two major search engine that you can use to market your brands in China. One is obviously Google, arguably the worlds most well known search engine but if you are looking at Chinese search engine marketing, then you must use Baidu. Baidu is the largest Chinese search engine, is the leader in this part of the world. If you are targeting a Chinese audience then you must simply leverage Baidu. It has about 70% of the search market and now that Google.cn is no longer in market you really don't have too many alternatives... or do you?

I have attached a presentation that will provide you with a greater understanding of the Chinese search market.

Note: I would like to thank my friend, Gordon Choi for allowing me to use some of his content in this presentation.
